And you wonder why we don't blog very often....

Well once again it has taken us forever to blog. But here is a little climpse into why it always takes forever...

Two weekends ago we decided to go camping over in Bozeman. We finally remembered to actually bring a camera this time. So we're in the truck rolling down the highway when Kiera decides to break out the camera. She takes a picture of Kaysen and one of Kylene. Then you will never guess what happens next. The camera dies. Yes, this is the story of our lives. Either we forget the camera or the camera battery dies.

Anyways the story gets better. So we are planning on spending the first night camping up Hyalite Canyon in one of the campgrounds there. We start driving up the canyon and pull into the first campground. We drive around the first loop... all sites are reserved or taken. We drive around the second loop... also reserved or taken. Well since that campground was full, we decided to head farther up the canyon to the next campground. What do you suppose happened? Yes that whole campground was full. Well Kyle insisted that we keep heading up the canyon and just try to find a wide spot in the road. We keep heading up and it begins to rain. We come to a fork in the road and go to the right. We drive all the way up to the falls and don't find a single wide spot open. They were all taken. So we drive back down and go up the left side of the fork in the road. We drive to the next falls and don't see anything. At this point the road is completely muddy. As we head back down thinking at this point that we are going to have to go camp in the Wal Mart parking lot, Kyle sees a spot that he is determined to make work. Just for a little visual, this spot is a mudhole that is slanting downwards towards the road. However, Kyle didn't care. His mission was to make this spot work and he did. We spent the night there.

The next morning before heading down the canyon to the Bozeman KOA, we took a hike up Pallisade Falls. It was gorgeous. Once again... the camera had to be dead. After our hike, we went and got all checked into the Bozeman KOA and then headed to town to let the girls go shopping. The boys decided they would rather go back and swim in the pool. Then that night we went to the Bozeman Hot Springs. Sunday Morning, we got up and went to church in Bozeman and then headed home afterwards.

It was a great getaway for the weekend. We had lots of giggling, relaxing and fun spending time as a family.
Well I hope you enjoy the two pictures we did get of the weekend....
