On a More Positive Note......or is it?
I blogged a while back about my next adventure being on the road to 40. Well, it came and it went thank goodness. I had a birthday, turning 39 this year. Kyle took the day off and we spent the whole day together. We went shopping, got pedicures, went out to lunch, picked kids up from school.... it was a lot of fun. My gift this year from my family, at my request, was to have a couple of workout sessions with a personal trainer. I was very excited to get started on a new exercise program. We met for the first time a week ago Monday. It was a great workout and I knew I would be sore. I am so out of shape. Little did I know just how sore I would be. The lower half of my body tolerated it pretty well. My upper half, not so much! It has now been 10 days and my right arm is still very swollen from my shoulder to my hand. I decided I better go see a Dr. and find out what was going on. Apparently, I have tennis elbow or tendonitis. Now I don't play tennis, or golf or any of the things normally associated with this injury so I guess I get to rack this one up purely to age. How sad is that! It will probably take another 2 weeks to heal, along with anti-inflammatories and possibly a steroid shot. I feel so dumb! What a loser! It sucks to get old!

What an adventure! I hope you heal quickly and get back to working out.
Russ totally got tendonitis a couple of years when he was working on the front yard (he landscaped it all with a pickaxe and wheelbarrow--gotta love him). So I don't think you're getting old -- I think it just means you're working really hard!
