Prom

Well as usual, I am behind in the world of blog. I always have good intentions, but you know what they say about the road paved with good intentions........... So I will pick up to where we are now and then maybe attempt to go back in fill in the gaps (and what do you think the chances are of that?), so here we go.......

Last Friday was Prom. Ky turned 16 at the end of April so she just made the deadline. However, we had no idea just what a deadline we would be facing. She got asked 10 days before prom. Ever try and find a modest prom dress in Helena, MT 10 days before prom ? Not happening!!! We proceeded to shop online for the next 72 hours. We looked at over 4000 prom dresses and found about 3 in stock and in the right size. We changed colors of dress 3 times in the following 72 hours which had the poor boy who asked her back and forth to the tux shop and flower shop repeatedly. At this point, I thought he would tell her to forget it!!!!! BUT...... we finally triumphed and received the dress 24 hours before prom. Did I also mention the fact that I was only here to help for the first 4 days before I had to get on a plane with Kiera and go to Georgia for the week?! Can you say STRESS????

Amazingly, it all turned out wonderful. In fact, Kyle even played chef and Kaysen played waiter and even one of our fantastic neighbors helped out the boys as they served 4 couples dinner. I was very sad I missed it. Here are some pics....

Hey, That is way cool. Also, the dress is amazing. I'm glad she had fun. It is more fun sometimes to have dinner at home then go out. That is what we did for my senior prom. Yes, I can't believe I went to prom either. :) It was also a fun night. Jon was the Chef. My Sister helped decorate me lol, and she was also our limo driver. Ahh, the memories. Glad she was able to have fun. Hope your all doing well.
Happy days.

P.S. Elizabeth Lasson had her baby last Saturday - a boy - Davis John - weighing in at 9 lbs 14 oz! Can you say ouch?

She is such an overachiever...
